Senator Makes Startling Claim That Biden Caused Attack On Jordan

(ConservativeSense.com) – Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama is blaming President Joe Biden and the current administration for the recent attack on US troops in Jordan that killed three and left dozens wounded, which he said would never have happened if former President Donald Trump were still in office.

On Sunday, Jan. 28, three American troops died in an attack on Tower 22 in Jordan, a base near the Syrian border. Although US forces have been attacked over 150 times throughout the Middle East by Iran-backed militants since the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel sent the region into disarray, the Sunday attack in Jordan is significant because it’s the first time US troops have suffered any losses.

Officials claim that Iran-backed militants most likely fired the drone from Syria, although which group is responsible has yet to be determined. During a speech in South Carolina on the same day, Biden declared that America “shall respond” to the attack, but Tuberville is putting all of the blame on the president and his administration, who he says “caused” the drone strike in the first place.

In an appearance on Newsmax’s “National Report,” Tuberville said he thinks the situation will only “get worse,” and that it’s only a matter of time until another base is attacked. He said swift decisions need to be made in the White House, but that Republicans “have no voice” to make those calls. It hasn’t been confirmed yet if the group that attacked the American base were backed by Iran. Tuberville believes that was probably the case, although he said the US should find out “for sure.”

Tuberville called for a blockade on Iran, to “take all their money away from them” in order to “break them.” He claims that this is what Trump would do if he were in office, adding that the attack never would’ve even happened under him. The senator said Iran was “scared to death” of the former president, but that they do not fear Biden.
