Iran Sends US Warning – Stop Blaming It For Hamas Attack

(ConservativeSense.com) – An Iranian official has told America to stop blaming his country for the attack on Israel on October 7. Reporters in Dubai asked Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Nasser Kanaani, to respond to America’s implication that Iran is connected to the attack, and Kanaani simply said, “Stop it.”

Tensions between Iran and the US have intensified since the terror attack on the Jewish state, with some US politicians immediately blaming Joe Biden for enabling Iran. The Iranian government is known to fund both Hamas and Hezbollah, two terror groups with the stated aim of wiping out Israel. Indeed, Iran has made a similar pledge.

The enabling accusations hurled at the President included his decision to unfreeze $6 billion of Iranian oil money held in South Korea for “humanitarian” use by the Iranian regime. The funds were unfrozen only weeks before the attack on Israel, but President Biden insists the money had not been spent.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken also brushed off Republican concerns that the Biden administration was too soft on Iran and Hamas; Biden reversed a Trump policy to end aid that ends up in the hands of the designated terrorist organization.

More recently, the US carried out airstrikes, destroying Iranian weapons and munitions storage facilities in Syria. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards use the facilities, and media commentators suggested that the strikes were partly a warning to Iran to stay out of the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said the strikes were “separate and distinct” from the Israeli conflict and were intended as a response to a “series of ongoing and mostly unsuccessful attacks against US personnel in Iraq and Syria by Iranian-backed militia groups.”

Since the birth of the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1979, its leaders have expressed contempt for the United States and made no secret of their feelings toward Israel. “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” are frequent chants at protests led by the Islamist Iranian leaders.
