DeSantis Slams Nikki Haley for Support of Liberal Cause

(ConservativeSense.com) – Floridian Governor Ron DeSantis has launched a new website explicitly attacking his GOP presidential rival, Nikki Haley. The website therealnikki.com claims that the former South Carolina governor is a secret liberal who conceals her true beliefs behind a veil of false conservatism. The website says, “Nikki Haley isn’t the conservative she says she is. She is supportive of every liberal cause under the sun.”

Visitors to the site find a video showing clips of Haley saying she got into politics because she was inspired by Hillary Clinton, denouncing immigration quotas, and striking deals with China as South Carolina Governor. The clips include an interview with Ms. Haley, describing her opposition to a proposed ban on males entering female bathrooms.

She is also accused of supporting the World Economic Forum and US aid to Gaza. DeSantis reminded readers that Haley opposed his Florida battle with Disney and welcomed the company to relocate to the Palmetto State and bring its 70,000 jobs along with it. The fight between DeSantis and Disney began when the entertainment giant condemned his legislation disallowing teachers from discussing adult themes, including radical gender ideology, in schools.

The rivalry between Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis has accelerated since the GOP debates began, and Haley’s popularity has skyrocketed. In the second debate in September, she accused DeSantis of opposing energy independence because he was against fracking. Mr. DeSantis denied this, but his record shows he did legislate to prevent drilling and fracking on the Floridian coast, although he maintains he is not opposed to it nationally. In 2018, DeSantis said, “With Florida’s geological makeup of limestone and shallow water sources, fracking presents a danger to our state that is not acceptable.”

In several polls, Nikki Haley has advanced upon, or overtaken, Ron DeSantis for the second-place position behind Donald Trump in the GOP primaries. In a CNN poll from November 10, Haley won 20% of the vote, with DeSantis at just 9%.
