(ConservativeSense.com) – US fighter jets were deployed recently to intercept an aircraft flying near President Biden’s home in Delaware. The civilian plane entered restricted airspace at around two in the afternoon of October 27, and the chief of communications for the United States Secret Service, Anthony Guglielmi, explained that the military jets were intercepted as a precautionary measure. He added that there was no cause for alarm or concern, and the president was unaffected. The civilian craft later landed without incident, and the Federal Aviation Authority will investigate how and why it entered restricted space.
The incident comes only weeks after an armed protestor got uncomfortably close to the president’s home in September. The Secret Service came under scrutiny when an armed man held up placards outside Biden’s house stating, “Bidens are criminals,” among other accusations. The man wore neon yellow and orange clothes and had a gun on his belt.
One reporter said that the president’s motorcade drove right past the protestor, leaving the public with questions as to the effectiveness of the Secret Service. The Service noted on Twitter that the armed man was exercising his right to protest and “had no impact on any of the Secret Service’s protectees’ movements.”
Some Americans were left bewildered by the notion that an armed man with a gripe against the president could get so close to him, and they expressed it online. One person pointed to a news story from 2022 that suggested President Biden does not trust the Secret Service. “The Fight of His Life: Inside Joe Biden’s White House,” by Chris Whipple, reportedly details instances where the President expressed his distrust and said many of his protective agents had strongly supported Donald Trump.
Whipple reveals that Biden viewed the events of January 6, 2021, as evidence that the service was “both incompetent and politicized.” He made the remarks in response to revelations that Secret Service agents allegedly deleted crucial messages recorded on the day.
