China Makes SHOCKING Allegation Against U.S. – “Endangering…”

( – China accused the U.S. on Monday of “endangering peace and stability” for flying a U.S. P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft through the Taiwan Strait.

The U.S. and Taiwan’s leaders responded by arguing that the strait separating the island from the mainland is an international waterway while Beijing claims they still have “sovereignty, sovereign rights, and jurisdiction” over the area. The defense ministry of Taiwan made a statement describing the southern flight of the U.S. aircraft as a “normal” mission.

The Eastern Theatre Command of China’s People’s Liberation Army alleges that flying through the strait “deliberately interfered with and disrupted the regional situation and endangered peace and stability” and stated that they “firmly oppose” these actions.

According to NBC News, a Chinese air force ground station warned the aircraft not to approach any further or they would “pay full responsibility,” after which a Chinese fighter jet was deployed and positioned about 500 feet from the U.S. aircraft.

Just last week, the U.S. Department of Defense announced 100 to 200 American troops are being prepared to be sent to Taiwan for training, expanding a small training program already present on the island. Spokesman Lt. Col. Marty Meiners didn’t specify what the training would entail or any specific operations but said that U.S. “support for, and defense relationship with, Taiwan remains aligned against” the threat of China.

Also last week, a U.S. delegation of lawmakers paid a visit to Taiwan to meet with business people and the President of Taiwan, Tsai Ing-wen, which included Reps. Tony Gonzales of Texas, Ro Khanna of California, Jonathan Jackson of Illinois, and Jake Auchincloss of Massachusetts.

Rep. Khanna said the diplomatic meeting was “consistent with [President Biden’s] foreign policy” recognizing the importance of maintaining a relationship with the island nation while seeking “peace in the region,” and that the visit was “in no way provocative of China,” who are opposed to Taiwan having any relations with foreign governments.
