AOC Mocked After Exploding At Pro-Palestinian Activists

( – Following the release of a viral video showing Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York yelling at pro-Palestinian activists, the congresswoman was mocked online by her critics, who pointed out that even her left-wing constituents are turning on her.

Ocasio-Cortez, commonly known as “AOC,” was captured on video during a confrontation with a masked activist, who confronted the congresswoman as she walked with her fiancé inside a building. The man accused Ocasio-Cortez of refusing to call the Israeli military campaign in the Gaza Strip against Hamas “a genocide,” after which she turned around and aggressively shouted in the man’s face that what he was doing was “not okay.”

As she walked away with her partner down an escalator, the activist responded and said that a genocide was “happening” and that Ocasio-Cortez was “not actively against it.” Ocasio-Cortez shot back at the man that he was lying. She was soon confronted by another activist, after which she got in that woman’s face and told her she was also lying. Her partner eventually stepped in and tried to separate Ocasio-Cortez from the activists.

The female activist yelled after her as Ocasio-Cortez as she descended another escalator, telling her to “just say it’s a genocide.”

They followed the congresswoman outside and continued heckling her. Ocasio-Cortez shouted at them some more and claimed they would edit the footage of her so it’s taken “completely out of context” by viewers online. She then reiterated that she already called Israel’s military actions genocidal and that the activists were pretending otherwise. Ocasio-Cortez said what they were doing to her was “f***ed up” and told them they were “not helping these people,” referring to the Palestinians.

Critics of the Democratic congresswoman pointed out one of her tweets from December 2020, a few months after waves of Black Lives Matter protests broke out across the country following the death of George Floyd. In that post, Ocasio-Cortez said that “the whole point of protesting” was to make others “uncomfortable.”

Although she’s consistently called for a ceasefire in Gaza, some left-wing activists clearly don’t believe the progressive congresswoman is doing enough to call out Israel, which has been engaged in military action there since Hamas attacked last October, killing 1,200. So far, over 30,000 Palestinians have been killed in return.
