U.S. Government Sends MESSAGE To China – It’s Urgent!

(ConservativeSense.com) – A day after his meeting with the Chinese Communist Party senior foreign policy official Wang Yi, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken warns China that it “would be a serious problem” if China decides to send arms and ammunition to aid Russia in the Ukraine war.

The Secretary of State said the United States has been conscious of the possibility of China becoming involved in the war ever since their leader, Xi Jinping, promised Russian President Vladimir Putin they would have a partnership of “no limits” during their meeting a few weeks prior to Putin’s invasion in February 2022.

According to Blinken, the U.S. government has “been watching this very, very closely,” referring to the growing relationship between China and Russia. He said that China has already been providing “rhetorical, political, [and] diplomatic support to Russia,” but that U.S. intelligence has information suggesting “lethal support” through arms and ammunition to aid Russia in their war effort.

GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina called Blinken’s statements “big news,” urging the world to “come down hard” on them if China decides to provide weapons to aid Russia. He addressed the Chinese government directly, warning that if they “jump on the Putin train now” then they are “dumber than dirt.” Graham stressed that to do so would “change everything forever” and would be the “most catastrophic thing” for China’s relationship with the U.S.

Following Blinken’s statement on Sunday, President Joe Biden paid a surprise visit on Monday to Kyiv, the capital city of Ukraine, to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. As the anniversary of the war is coming up this week, Biden declared that “one year later, Kyiv [still] stands.”

Also on Monday, the U.S. sent delegates to Taiwan to meet with President Tsai Ing-wen and Taiwanese business people. Rep. Ro Khanna of California said the visit is not intended to provoke China, who still claims the island of Taiwan as part of their territory and has threatened to reclaim it by force, but “consistent with [Biden’s] foreign policy that recognizes the importance of the relationship” with Taiwan while “seeking… peace in the region.”
