Putin Warns Of ‘World War III’ In Victory Speech

(ConservativeSense.com) – Following his resounding victory in recent elections, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that the world is on the brink of global conflict. After winning back the keys to the Kremlin with 88% of the vote, Mr. Putin used his victory speech to state that Russia is not scared of the West and that NATO’s “intimidation” could spark a “full-scale Third World War.” However, he reassured listeners that “hardly anybody is interested in this.”

Western leaders continue to insist Russia has plans beyond Kyiv and intends to invade other Eastern European countries if victorious in Ukraine. The chair of NATO’s committee, Admiral Rob Bauer of the Netherlands, recently re-issued the warning and said Western countries should prepare for war with the Kremlin in the next couple of decades.

China has cautioned against NATO’s position and said this brings World War Three closer to fruition. Meanwhile, the US is sending 50 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles to Ukraine, which the deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council suggested could be considered an act of aggression against Russia and turn NATO nations into legitimate military targets. “Is it possible to view the delivery of a large volume of weapons to Ukraine as an attack on Russia?” Dmitry Medvedev asked.

The threat of World War III is a possibility that several Western leaders have mentioned in recent months, including former President Donald Trump, who promises he will prevent it if he is re-elected in November.

Russia recently said that the world was moving closer to war following remarks by French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris. Macron raised the prospect of sending European troops to Ukraine while accusing Russia of harboring secret plans for further invasions. Ukraine’s leader, Volodymyr Zelensky, agrees, stating that if Russia is victorious, it “certainly means the Third World War.”
