(ConservativeSense.com) – The White House has made a deal with Mexico to conceal the numbers illegally entering the United States. Rosemary Jenks, the director of Government Relations for NumbersUSA, said the intention of the agreement is not to reduce the numbers arriving but to ensure the American public is kept in the dark.
She said the plan is to move migrants through ports of entry and “side doors” to reduce opportunities for the media to film the chaos at the border. “You no longer have videos of hundreds of people streaming across the Rio Grande because people are being flown in on taxpayer dollars,” Jenks added.
The deal is part of ongoing cooperation between the US and Mexico over border control. In 2021, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador told Joe Biden that he would help control the flow, but only if Biden would allow Mexicans to enter the US.
A statement from the White House said a Homeland Security official met with representatives of the Mexican government to discuss joint actions to counter people smuggling. They also held talks on how to address the “root cause” of mass migration. The statement furthermore claims that deals already made with Mexico have achieved a 95% reduction in border encounters.
The Biden administration additionally confirmed its intention to expand ports of entry and vastly increase legal migration. NumbersUSA claims it is all a smokescreen, and Biden’s primary intention is to bring immigrants into America rather than have them cross the border on foot.
Rosemary Jenks said everything the Biden administration has done to address illegal migration has had the effect of increasing levels of legal migration. She also said this is detrimental to American workers, which Biden does not object to because it helps major corporations reduce the cost of wages.
Last year, Goldman Sachs acknowledged that around 2.5 million migrants would cut the national wage bill by $100 billion in a single year.
