(ConservativeSense.com) – New tapes leaked of Tucker Carlson behind the scenes at Fox reveal the host warning of liberal workers at the network. The clip, released by left-wing outlet Media Matters, show Tucker arguing that people with pronouns in their Twitter bio should not work at Fox News. He said the left wing sees itself as being at war, and he and other conservatives are considered their enemy.
Media Matters has been publishing behind-the-scenes videos of Carlson since he departed from Fox in April. Fox lawyers sent a cease and desist letter to the left-wing outlet asking that it not post more clips. The attorneys said the content is “confidential intellectual property” and Media Matters should “cease and desist from distribution, publication, and misuse of Fox’s misappropriated proprietary footage, which you are now on notice was unlawfully obtained.”
It is unclear how Media Matters obtained the footage. However, the organization responded to the lawyers’ letter stating that newsworthy leaks are the cornerstone of journalism.
Carlson has meanwhile announced that he will launch a new show on Twitter. He said it will be a continuation of Tucker Carlson Tonight, one of the highest-rated cable programs in history. He added that it will start “soon” and will be hosted on the platform owned by controversial billionaire Elon Musk.
The popular host parted ways with Fox in April, and the reasons remain unclear. Media speculation suggests he was fired for his role in the Dominion Voting Systems lawsuit that was settled by Fox for $787 million.
Dominion sued the Fox network over its coverage of President Trump’s claim that the 2020 Presidential election was stolen – partly via the use of Dominion computer programs. The company sued for defamation.
Fox faces a second defamation claim by voting systems company Smartmatic. This organization is claiming defamation compensation for the same reason. Former producer Abby Grossberg has also filed a lawsuit alleging misogyny and antisemitism.
