Trump Slams Biden For Border Being ‘Out Of Control’

( – Once again, former President Donald Trump is putting President Joe Biden on blast over the crisis at the US-Mexico border, which he said is “out of control.”

In another Truth Social rant in the wake of another giant migrant caravan making its way to the US border, and a day after Biden sent a US delegation to meet with the president of Mexico, Trump posted another rant on his social media platform ripping into Biden. The situation there “is out of control like no border in history,” Trump wrote, claiming that no border “from any [other] country has ever been” this bad.

Trump also claimed that the US is “being extorted by Mexico and other countries” and that “it should be the other way around.” The former president said the US is “a nation in decline,” one that is “failing” and with “leadership that is not respected” and clueless. Trump said that, three years prior, when he was still in office, America “had the strongest and safest border” in its history “by far.”

The extortion claim comes after comments made recently by President of Mexico Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who said the US should lighten its sanctions on Venezuela and Cuba as well as offer more support to countries in Latin America rather than erecting more “barriers,” “barbed wire fences on the river,” or border walls. The Central American nation is also pressuring the US to reopen railway crossings at the border that were shut down temporarily amid a massive surge in illegal crossing attempts. The Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs said this “is a priority” for the nation.

State Secretary Antony Blinken, who met with the Mexican president as part of a US delegation after Christmas, said the US is “committed” to working with them “to address… shared challenges,” such as reopening ports of entry and combating drug smuggling. The delegation was organized in response to a letter from Republican Speaker of the House Mike Johnson to Biden the week before, urging the White House to take executive action on the border.

According to Customs and Border Patrol statistics, over 240,000 immigrants have been encountered every month for the last three months.
