Top Democrats ARRESTED By Police – Hauled Away!

( – Two Democratic politicians were arrested and charged with trespassing after they refused to leave a pro-choice protest in Tallahassee, Florida. The protest was organized in opposition to a new bill banning abortions after six weeks of pregnancy in Florida.

Democratic Senate Minority Leader Lauren Book and Democratic Paty Chairwoman Nikki Fried joined a small group of pro-choice protesters on Monday near the state Capitol building of Florida. They were arrested for refusing to leave after being ordered to vacate by law enforcement and then charged with misdemeanor trespass.

Demonstrators gathered just hours after the Republican-controlled Senate approved the bill to ban abortions after six weeks of pregnancy, which was backed by Gov. Ron DeSantis and is expected to pass the Florida Legislature. This would be a big victory for DeSantis and gain him more favor among Republican voters ahead of his expected run for the White House in 2024.

Videos posted to social media platforms show protesters “shame” as officers began arresting and escorting others away in handcuffs following a statement by the Tallahassee Police Department that they were told to vacate the premises after sunset. 11 people refused to leave and were placed under arrest and charged with misdemeanor trespassing.

The issue of abortion continues to drive a wedge between political parties in the U.S. with Democrats fighting to secure access to the procedure as Republicans continue to push for more restrictions or outright banning it. After the Roe v. Wade Decision was struck down last year, abortion laws were placed back into the hands of individual states.

While most red states began passing legislation against the practice, many blue states are now becoming “sanctuary states” for those seeking the procedure. Patients are fleeing their home states in order to have abortions in states that allow it, which are also passing laws to try and protect people who assist them and those who conduct the procedure.
