They DID It – He’s Been CORNERED!

(ConservativeSense.com) – The Department of Justice (DOJ) has indicted Donald Trump on charges related to the seizure of classified documents from his home in Florida last year. Trump took dozens of papers with him when he left the White House, and now he faces charges on seven counts, including willful retention of information related to national defense.

The former President pledged his innocence on his Truth Social media account and said, “I never thought it possible that such a thing could happen to a former President of the United States, who received far more votes than any sitting President in the History of our Country, and is currently leading, by far, all Candidates, both Democrat and Republican, in Polls of the 2024 Presidential Election.”

Neither the Department of Justice nor Special Counsel Jack Smith, who led the investigation, has commented on the indictment.

The FBI raided President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida last August. They seized boxes of papers and the DOJ assigned Smith to conduct a probe into Trump’s handling of the documents. In January of this year, boxes of similarly classified papers were found in an office at the University of Pennsylvania once occupied by President Biden. A further cache of documents was later located at the President’s home in Delaware. Republicans point out the difference between the FBI’s approach to the incidents and claim the federal agency is targeting Trump because Democrats have “weaponized” it against conservatives and Republicans.

In the wake of the latest indictment, GOP allies of Trump denounced the move as “election interference.” Ohio Representative Jim Jordan, who leads the weaponization investigation committee in Congress, said it was a sad day for America. Firebrand Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene said the FBI and DOJ must lie awake at night worrying about another Trump Presidency in 2024.

Donald Trump was indicted on criminal charges in Manhattan earlier this year. That trial is due to start in March 2024, when Mr. Trump will be immersed in his election campaign.
