Rogan Torches California Democrats Over Electric Vehicle Push

( – Podcaster and fight commentator Joe Rogan recently spoke with Aaron Rodgers, the controversial NFL quarterback who defied the vaccine mandates, and the two had some choice words about California Democrats and their climate agenda.

On Wednesday, Feb. 7, Rogan released a new episode of The Joe Rogan Experience with the New York Jets quarterback and one of the topics the two landed on is the Democratic Party in California and their policies. Rogan said that Democrats “just can’t wait to put more controls on people” and then mentioned the party’s push to outlaw combustion engine gas vehicles by the year 2035.

In August 2022, California voted to ban the sale of gas-powered cars in the Golden State by 2035, which is part of a wider climate agenda pursued by the Democrats. The following year prompted a response from the Republican-controlled House, which passed H.R. 1435 to federally put a stop to the ban, which was designed to force consumers to purchase electric vehicles instead. Critics argue that only allowing electric vehicles would be too taxing on California’s power grid.

Rogan reminded his audience that the state tells people “not to charge their cars” so the grid doesn’t “go down.” He then said a “radical upheaval of the grid” would be necessary in the next 11 years, which Rogan doesn’t think is possible.

Rodgers then chimed in and sarcastically said he thinks California Gov. Gavin Newsom “can get it done.” He went on to say the politicians are “just talking,” and that their goal is just to “say the right things” that will “check the right boxes” so voters think they’re going green.

Rogan agreed and pointed out that while Democrats focus on their climate agenda and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, they neglect America’s failing infrastructure, which he exclaimed is “f***ing crazy.”

Rodgers responded that he also thinks the politicians “don’t care at all” and “just want control.” The mainstream media is, of course, attacking Rodgers for his comments and appearing again on Rogan’s show, but the quarterback is used to rocking the boat by now. He made it into the headlines for speaking out against the vaccine mandates and refusing the shot.
