Liberal Host SLIPS – Audience’s Jaws On The FLOOR!

( – Whoopi Goldberg made a verbal faux pas on a recent broadcast of The View, a panel show she co-hosts with other women. Goldberg read from a card about a survey taken in the UK which asked people why they travel. “A poll of 2,000 adults in the UK found that when people travel, cuisine is more important to them than landmarks or b**ches,” Goldberg said, before immediately correcting herself and clarifying that the card read “beaches.”

The audience erupted into laughter and the star blamed them for her verbal slip – before telling TV viewers she could not explain why it was the audience’s fault.

Goldberg’s history on The View includes a long list of controversial moments, including when she appeared to emit flatulence on a recent show. Some of her comments however have not resulted in laughter, and she was suspended in February last year when she said the Holocaust was not about race but “two groups of white people.”

Jonathan Greenblatt, leader of the Anti-Defamation League, said the “Holocaust was about the Nazi’s systematic annihilation of the Jewish people – who they deemed to be an inferior race.” Goldberg later apologized.

The actress and comedienne also lashed out at Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas recently when the court ruled that university admissions decisions could not consider race. She said Justice Thomas was “full of it” for saying he does not know what exactly is meant by “diversity.” The hosts went on to claim that the biggest beneficiaries of so-called affirmative action are white women.

In a decision on June 29, the Supreme Court declared that affirmative action was unconstitutional and colleges and schools will no longer be allowed to take race into account. Affirmative action came into effect in the 1950s to help black and Latino students secure places in higher education. Chief Justice John Roberts said students are now judged not on their skills or achievements but on the color of their skin.
