Letter Containing White Powder Sent to Don Jr.’s Home

(ConservativeSense.com) – Former President Donald Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr, received a letter with an unidentified powder inside of it on Monday, leading to an emergency response team visit at his Florida home.

On Monday, Feb. 26, Trump Jr. opened a letter in his home office in Jupiter, Florida, that contained an unknown white powder accompanied by a death threat. After calling in the incident, an emergency response team showed up in hazmat suits to assess the situation.

According to a source close to the president’s son, the unidentified white powder was tested with inconclusive results, yet confirmed that officials did not find the substance wasn’t deadly. That source confirmed these details with The Daily Beast on the condition of remaining anonymous.

The Jupiter Police Department said the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office will be handling the investigation.

This isn’t the first time a mysterious white powder was sent to Trump Jr’s residence. In 2018, someone sent an envelope addressed to the former president’s son at his Manhattan residence, which was opened by his wife at the time, Vanessa Trump. Vanessa was rushed to a hospital as a precautionary measure, but the powder was found to be harmless. His brother, Eric Trump, also received a threatening letter with an envelope containing white powder in 2016, which was also found to be harmless, and two letters containing powder were sent that year to Trump Tower.

Trump Jr. is most likely a high-profile target not only for being the former president’s son but also for serving as one of the Trump presidential campaign’s top supporters. He’s a frequent headline speaker at his father’s events and often makes interview appearances on Trump’s behalf. Trump Jr. also hosts a podcast where he interviews controversial political guests.

The purpose of sending an envelope full of harmless powder seems to be with the intention of playing on America’s fears going back to 2001. A week after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, several news offices and two senators received letters containing spores of anthrax, which killed five people and infected 17 others.
