Kamala Harris Is Least Popular VP In Poll’s History

(ConservativeSense.com) – Kamala Harris is the least popular Vice President in history, according to NBC polling. A recent survey by NBC revealed only 32% of respondents had a favorable view of the Vice President, compared to 49% who see her negatively. That 49% includes 39% with a “very” negative view. NBC News said this is “the lowest for any Vice President in the poll’s history.”

Conservatives and Republicans mocked the result online and sarcastically claimed that Democrats would blame the VP’s dire polling on racism and misogyny.

Harris did not start out with such unimpressive figures. Not long after she and Biden were inaugurated into the White House, a survey showed that 54% of Americans viewed her positively. A year later, that had fallen to 38%. Several reasons are put forward as explanations for the Vice President’s fall from grace. One such reason is her apparent absence from the public eye in the early months of her term.

When Joe Biden appointed her to take care of the nation’s borders, Harris’s approval rating among the American public fell even further. In June 2021, just months into her role, she snapped at NBC anchor Lester Holt when he asked her why she had not visited the southern border. “I haven’t been to Europe either,” she said, before adding, “At some point, you know, we are going to the border.”

Then-House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy accused the Vice President of dismissing the seriousness of the crisis in the south and said she found it all “hilarious.”

Conservative journalist Eric Boehm argues that Harris has always been unpopular, but the public was willing to give her a fresh start when she took on the VP role. He says she often presents herself as something she is not, which is obvious to those observing her. “Harris is a cop and that won’t change no matter how many times she tries to awkwardly mouth the buzzwords of the progressive youths,” he wrote.
