Judge THROWS OUT White House “Loophole” – After Years Of Use!

(ConservativeSense.com) – President Joe Biden’s “catch and release” border policy was struck down on Wednesday by a federal judge who ruled in favor of the state of Florida.

The Biden administration policy used parole in order to free illegal migrants after being caught crossing the border, which critics deemed “catch and release.” The US District Court for the Northern District of Florida Pensacola Division’s Judge T. Kent Wetherell II, who was appointed by former President Donald Trump, ruled against the policy which uses humanitarian parole as well as detention alternatives to release large numbers of migrants.

Wetherell argued that the policy at the southern border is nothing more than a “speedbump” now for those who cross illegally, siding with Ashley Moody, a Republican Attorney General from Florida who challenged the policy.

The judge wrote that according to the evidence, the Defendants “have effectively turned the Southwest Border into a meaningless line in the sand… by prioritizing ‘alternatives to detention’ over actual detention and by releasing more than a million aliens into the country” using parole. The ruling will halt the order for seven days allowing for an appeal.

Moody made a statement following the ruling. She says it “affirms what we have known all along, President Biden is responsible for the border crisis” and that his immigration policies have been “unlawful” and “make this country less safe.” She added that Biden is now being ordered by a federal judge “to follow the law, and his administration should immediately begin securing the border to protect the American people.”

After long-term pushback, there are now reports that Biden may bring back the practice of detaining migrant families who cross the border illegally as his administration prepared for the end of Title 42, which was implemented in March 2020 by the Trump administration to swiftly deport migrants caught crossing the border during the pandemic.
