Jenna Ellis Sparks Controversy with Dramatic Flip on Donald Trump

(ConservativeSense.com) – Donald Trump’s former lawyer, Jenna Ellis, is speaking out against Mr. Trump and increasingly appears ready to flip sides. However, there is no evidence yet that she is cooperating with prosecutors. Ellis is one of the people charged by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and has pleaded not guilty to violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act and soliciting the violation of an oath by a public officer.

Ellis raised thousands of dollars for her legal fees online amid speculation that Trump refused to pay her because of her growing support for his rival, Ron DeSantis. She is also increasingly critical of the former president on Twitter. She praised DeSantis for pledging to pardon the January 6 rioters on a case-by-case basis while simultaneously asking why Trump did not protect his Capitol Hill supporters while in office.

She also lashed out at Trump for apparently using donated funds to fight child support battles for one of his lawyers, Jason Miller, while ignoring many others. “Has he paid for anyone’s legal defense except himself (oh, and Jason Miller’s child support lawyer)?” she tweeted.

Meanwhile, the attorney finds herself in more hot water in Colorado. The Colorado Supreme Court’s Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel found that she violated professional conduct rules, specifically one that prohibits “misrepresentation. The office found that her public statements following the 2020 election were false.

Her punishment is public censure, unlike Rudy Giuliani, another Trump lawyer. Mr. Giuliani is barred from practicing law due to his support of the former president. In 2021, the New York appellate court banned Giuliani from legal practice for communicating “demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers, and the public.”

More recently, the former mayor of New York said he is broke and cannot afford his looming legal fees. He even put his Manhattan apartment on the market in August. His lawyer said he is “having financial difficulties” and will need time to pay his legal bills.
