It’s HAPPENING – He Made The Announcement!

(ConservativeSense.com) – It looks like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is finally going to announce his bid for the White House and is expected to officially launch his campaign next week.

The governor of the Sunshine State, who’s become popular among conservatives nationwide, is expected to officially declare his 2024 presidential campaign next week after months of anticipation and speculation.

DeSantis has dropped multiple hints since being re-elected as governor last November that his eyes are set on the Oval Office. One of these major hints is his latest book, The Courage to Be Free: Florida’s Blueprint for America’s Revival, the thesis of which is how the policies he’s applied to his home state to combat the so-called “woke” ideology advocated for by Democrats can be applied to the rest of the country.

According to sources close to the Florida governor, next week DeSantis will be filing the necessary formal paperwork with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) required to officially declare his candidacy. Once he does, DeSantis will not only be officially in the race, but he will pose the greatest threat to former President Donald Trump for the GOP nomination.

Leading up to all of this, Florida lawmakers recently had to clear the way for DeSantis in order for him to be able to run for president without having to resign as governor. DeSantis also seems to be trying to get as much done before his launch, passing legislation after legislation in his home state over the past few months.

So far, DeSantis has banned universities and colleges from using state funds for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, which are the basis of “woke” ideology. He’s reformed the death penalty to make rapists of children 12 and under eligible. He passed a heartbeat bill to ban abortions after six weeks with special exceptions. And the latest bill signed by DeSantis will ban trans surgeries from being performed on minors.

Once he enters the presidential race, DeSantis will also be taking on GOP candidates Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy, and a few others besides Trump.
