Indictment Fallout – Trump Campaign ATTACKS Willis!

(ConservativeSense.com) – The Trump campaign has lashed out furiously at Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis in response to the latest indictment facing President Trump. The charges against the former President and 18 “co-conspirators” were published on August 14, and Trump reacted by referring to DA Willis as corrupt and stating that she has a political agenda to destroy his chances to regain the keys to the White House in 2024.

In a full statement from his campaign, Trump’s team described her as a “rabid partisan” campaigning on a platform to bring down the former President via “bogus indictments.”

“Ripping a page from Crooked Joe Biden’s playbook, Willis has strategically stalled her investigation to try and maximally interfere with the 2024 presidential race,” the statement read.

Trump’s team goes on to say that Willis could have brought any charges against the former President two years ago, but she has waited until the 2024 campaign for the White House gets underway so that she can cause as much disruption as possible. The unnamed Trump spokesperson furiously insists that “Crooked” Joe Biden’s administration allows Democrats to do what they wish while Republicans are prosecuted for exercising their First Amendment rights.

Senior GOP figures have been offering their reactions to the former President’s latest legal battle. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said a “radical DA in Georgia” followed the Biden administration’s example and is persecuting President Trump to aid her career. House Republican Conference chair Elise Stefanik also declared Willis a “radical” and said these attempts to derail Trump’s White House bid will not be successful.

Senator Ted Cruz of Texas called the affair “disgraceful” and added, “We had never indicted a former president or a leading presidential candidate. Joe Biden and the Democrats are weaponizing the justice system because they fear the voters.”

Charges against Trump and his eighteen alleged co-conspirators include election interference, election fraud, and racketeering. This is the fourth time President Trump has been indicted on criminal and federal charges—unprecedented in US history.
