(ConservativeSense.com) – President Biden has once again aligned himself with the woke anti-Constitution arm of America by lashing out at the Second Amendment during a speech to mark Martin Luther King Day in Washington. The President said he would “get assault weapons banned.” He also repeated his claim that the Second Amendment has always regulated who could own a weapon and what kinds of guns should be available to citizens.
In a swipe at Thomas Jefferson’s famous quote “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants,” Biden said, “I love my right-wing friends who talk about the tree of liberty is water of the blood of patriots.” In a further gaffe, he stated he would “ban the number of bullets that go in a magazine.”
In his half hour speech, he covered several topics, including student debt and its cancellation – a firm requirement of activists from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. He then went on to call Republicans “fiscally demented.”
Regarding the new GOP-controlled House of Representatives; he said he was disappointed that Republicans had chosen to “make inflation worse.” He was referring to the Republican reversal of legislation passed in 2022 to provide a massive funding boost to the Inland Revenue Service (IRS).
Entitled the “Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act,” the GOP’s first bill reversed the decision to provide $80 billion to the IRS. The money was to be used to hire new agents, but the Republicans argue that these agents would crack down hard on low and middle-income families.
Rep. Adrian Smith (R-Neb.) said the IRS was an out of control government agency that needed reform, not extra funding. “IRS needs to fix its customer service and return processing problems, not focus on auditing families and small businesses. Americans want an IRS that works for them, not against them,” he said.
